Heather Tanksley is the Founder of COVENIA Conflict Management Solutions, LLC, and serves as the Executive Director.
Prior to founding COVENIA, Ms. Tanksley spent over 24 years in the medical device and healthcare industry, including over 20 years with leading medical device manufacturer Beckman Coulter Corporation, and 2 years as the Director of Organizational Development and Training for AmeriPath, Inc., a diagnostic services company and physician practice management firm. She started consulting and mediating independently in 2002, working with both individuals and various corporate, for-profit, and non-profit entities.
In addition to holding an Associate's Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Legal Studies, Ms. Tanksley has a Master's Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, with a specialty in organizational conflict management. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Training and Human Resource Development from Florida International University, and is certified by the American Society for Training and Development. She is also a Certified Trainer and Subject Matter Expert in Workplace and Managerial Mediation. Additionally, Ms. Tanksley is a Florida Supreme Court-Certified County and Family Mediator, providing both private and court-appointed mediation services for a variety of case types such as: divorce, family issues, consumer, landlord/tenant, breach of contract, workplace, personal injury, and property damage, among other various types of disputes.
Ms. Tanksley is a Practitioner Level member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and a member of the Association of South Florida Mediators and Arbitrators (ASFMA). She is also a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Tanksley’s well-rounded expertise in conflict analysis and resolution, training and development, and organizational systems design can help you and your organization enhance critical skills for improving performance and resolving conflicts effectively and productively, while mitigating their potentially damaging effects. Ms. Tanksley also helps organizations leverage their training and development investments by designing and facilitating well-run training programs that are directly linked to achieving desired performance and key business goals.
